Vice Captain's Charity Fund Raising

In November Aber RFC's vice-captain Matthew Hughes ran 12 kilometres each day for seven days, 84 k in total. He, together with his running mate Alex Knott, raised over £3,000 for the Men's Mental Health charity. The significance of the 84 k is that it is the weekly number of male suicides in the UK.

Earlier, in May of this year, Matthew organised a walking, running and cycling event for Aberystwyth RFC players and members. As a result, £2,500 was collected and donated to the ICU and maternity unit at Bronglais hospital.
